    Hi everyone

I sincerely hope I have posted this in the right place, If I haven't I apologize.

I have a neighbor that knows absolutely nothing about computers and wanted their computer set back to factory settings, they did so through the System Recovery function on their computer. Its an iQon - philips apparently brought from Tesco. Its operating system is XP.

Well now that they did system recovery (quick format full install) it takes absolutely forever to boot up. This is the message:

Client Mac Addr: 00 OF EA 17 DO 5A GUID: FFFFFFF - FFFF - FFFF - FFFF - FFFFFFFFFFF

    DHCP

    PXE-MOF
    Exiting Intel PX Rom

    Anyone have any ideas?

Would a full format and complete windows install do the trick or would it be a problem to get driver updates for chip, BIOS etc from a Tesco computer???

    Any help appreciated!

I'm not certain but I think the BIOS boot order should be checked to make sure it is CDROM then HD. PXE (a networking option) may have set as first in the Boot Order which could be slowing things down.

This is just a guess but fairly easy to check.
