error message

Hi
A friends computer had this message DRIVER-IRQL-NOT-LESS OR EQUAL.
Does anybody know what it means.
i think they are using windows xp
she installed excel and a konica printer.she also gets
home pguide
error situation
automation error
class factory
can not supply requst class
massages

It would help to know what the Stop Error was, but if you can boot into Windows, go to Start >> Run and type in "devmgmt.msc" (without the quotes).

In Device Manager, see if there are any red or yellow symbols next to any listings.

A red X across the device symbol means the device has been disabled by Windows or a user.

A yellow triangle with a ! or exclamation point means the device is having a problem, the driver is usually the problem.
