Error message

am having major problem...i have a compaq proliant server running windows 2003 server with dual intel pen lll 500/512/100/2 ov processor every thing was working firn for a few months...i normally shut it down every day because am not home during the day time....i shut the system down and when i restart i got a long beep and a short beeb followed by this message (processor in incorrect slot system halted)....i reseated the processors and power the system up every thing was fine...so i decided to let it run for a few daysbefore i shut it down again..only this time after shutting down i get the same two beep and the message..the system will not booth into windows....thanx for any help i can get out here

 

sounds like somthing isnt making contact or loose contact ; might be the mobo or the processor. are all the legs in place/straight? is there somthing in the pin holes that might be blocking it? there is also a posibility that its shorting out; i would get a standard volt meter and cehck for continuity around the system; you dont want a short in the system because it will fry the crap out of ur stuff

 

thanx for ur help....am going to try a different processor or try the ones i have i a other system....
