error message

The error is hs_err_pid1488. It pops up alot on my desktop with a notepad icon. Can you tell me what this is and how to correct the problem? Thanks.

 

When does this pop up on your desktop? Is it after running any java related applications? Usually the hs_err_pid# is a log file of a problem with a certain java application. Opening that java log file may give you a clue on what is going on, post it here as an attachement.

Though, first, some system specs would be nice. Like type of OS, what version of java you have on your computer. etc...
