Error messages

    I'm working on my daughter's Dell Inspiron laptop with Windows XP SP2 (I'll get SP3 when it's working properly) and I get the following error messages on bootup:

    The instruction at "0x0100a2cb" referenced memory at "0xbba0e7c2". The memory could not be "read".

    Error loading C:\WINDOWS\system32\bafuvisi.dll. The specified module could not be found.

    Any suggestions?
