Everytime I boot I get the error message.

    LogonUI.exe - Bad Image
C:\Windows\system32\avrt.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.

I've tested the hard drive, run sfc /scannow , replaced the file, and I still get the message. If i hit OK it'll go into Windows but Windows Media Player doesn't work. It shows that error message and closes.

I tried to reinstall Windows Media Player but my version 11.0.6001.7004 is newer than the one on Microsoft's website and gives me an error message saying its older than the currently installed version. I can't run the setup in the program files folder cause it gives me the same message.

If anyone has any ideas let me know. Also, if you know where I can download 11.0.6001.7004 of WMP let me know.

    No restore points. :cry

    avrt.dll should be
    Version: 6.0.6000.16386 (vista_rtm.061101-2205) and Size: 12800 (12K)

Search for avrt.dll on your computer. If you find the proper one, copy it to the C:\Windows\system32\ location.
