Error Starting Program

hello, i recently down loaded need for speed underground for my pc... however i only down loaded cd1 and tried to install the game for cd2 >.< when i pressed cancel on the insallation of cd1 ( after realizeing i needed both ) i started receving this error message when ever i try to play any game and also music wont play anymore.

Error Starting Program

The dsound.dlll file is
Linked to messing export NTDLL.DLL:NtQueryInformationProcess.
well i looked in c:\windows\system and both dsound.dll and ntdll.dll are there

if you have any clue on how to fix this problem please tell me.

IF you downloaded a non cosher version, then most of these are hacks/cutup versions of the games and some parts can be missing, downside is these can foul up your PC! it may not have actually worked with disk2 anyhow.

the OS version you are using would be helpfull but if your using XP/ME then use system restore to go back before the install ( you will of cause loose any data info emails etc etc beween now and the last restore point.. so if you wish to keep them backup )

if the game is warez you will not get any help apart from us trying to get your PC going without errors.

im useing windows 98 se any ideas how to fix the problem?

This forum doesn't support pirated software. Sorry you'll have to take your problem to another forum. Or spend the $15 and get a real copy

try installing DirectX again http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.aspx?url=/windows/directx/downloads/default.htm ( updated 9.0c version )
