   I tried to open the file in MS Project 2007 and got the error says: "unexpected error Occurred when opening the file, the File may be corrupted Try to use the backup . . .
   Has anyone encountered this error ?

   The backup only means your last saved project. But you can always look through these methods to resolve your issue and also Microsoft has a great support team have you tried contacting them?
