   i'm running windows vista home premium and i tried running system restore and here's the error message i got.

   try running the system restore from safe mode. enter safe mode by pressing F8 at the flash screen at start up.good luck

   And if pressing F8 fails to get you into safe mode, try this from normal mode to force safe mode:
   Click the Start Button
   Type “msconfig” in the search box
   A “System Configuration” window will open
   Select the “Boot” tab in the Boot Options section
   Check the “Safe Boot/Minimal” check box
   Restart
   This will put you in Safe Mode.
