error

    hi,
    canon scanner 3200f. i got it to work but not any more. all of a sudden it gives me "error in scanner. turn off scanner and follow instruction in manual. scanner driver will be closed." i tried to uninstall and reinstall drivers but nothing. i tried to update my drivers but they are up to date. i tried connecting it to another desktop, but same response. am now thinking it could be a hardware failure?:(:(

    Hi

    What Windows version and Service Pack are you using and have you tried changing the USB port that the scanner is plugged into?

    Also uninstall the drivers and any software that relates to the Canon Scanner and then turn off your Antivirus and re-install the driver and software.

    But as you have tried the scanner in another PC I would be guessing that its now a dead device, but check with Canon support on any other troubleshooting you maybe able to do.
