Error!

Hey guys! Its me again....the person that knows nothing about computers...lol! well anyway..my mom got a Embroidery converter box like 2 years ago..well recently we've been having problems with it, and everytime we click on it, an error box pops up and says "Cannot open port, to access converter box 1450"...maybe someone can help me with this...I've tried uninstalling the software and the hardware and restarting the computer and reinstalling..maybe some of you can help...THANKS!!!
