Alright, so I'm getting tired of this.

I just installed the x1600 Pro card into my computer. Okay, so I had a little issue with the resolution and couldn't get it out without taking out the card and uninstalling the drivers for it and such. NOW, when I turn on my PC, I don't have any internet connection. It knows it's there, but I cannot connect.Thinking it was my ethernet card, I put a different one in, same thing.

I called my ISP and they did a few troubleshooting things with me, and no avail. But they told me I could call my machine manufacturer (Emachine, LOL)
And ask them to help me with the settings of my ethernet card because I am getting an invalid IP address.

So at this point, I have no clue what these it left to do. And I'm hoping that someone here can help me.

I even did a system restore to restore to all the defaults when this thing arrived, and still nothing.

    It makes no sense

You said "It knows it's there, but I cannot connect." How do you know it sees the internet?

If you go to the command prompt and type ipconfig what does it say your IP Address is?

Because your using ethernet to connect I will assume you have either DSL or Cable internet. Are you using a Router or are you connecting directly to the modem?

I can unplug the ethernet cord and it says "a network cable has been unplugged" that's how I know its there.

That simply means there is a physical connection. It doesnt mean that it see's the network or the internet.

Go to the command prompt and type "ipconfig /all" and send the results.

Also, what is your configuration? Cable or DSL to router or straight to the computer? What Brand and model modem and router?
