Good day M.G.'s - I have an IBM Thinkpad running WinXP Pro. Upon startup I'm immediately seeing the message
"PXE-EO5 The LAN Adapter configuration is corrupted or has not been initialized. Boot Agent cannot continue".
System then goes on to start normally and I use a Wireless Card to connect to the Network/Internet, but no Ethernet Conn. It's an Intel 8255x-based PCI Ethernet Adapter. It began working intermittently for about 2 months and then it died all together.

Anything I can do at all?

    Thx,
    Acktom

If you aren't using this device, then I believe that you can permanently delete it from your user profile, and this will prevent the message that you're seeing.:)

Its an option in the bios to boot from lan, disable it whats its trying to do is find a pxe boot server this won't help your lan card under windows, but will remove that error.

Yup, If you dont use your NIC then Disable it in BIOS, It will be for sure set to On/PXE, that means Wake up on LAN.
If you are using the NIC along with yor Wireless Card As and Alternate Option then Set NIC to On in BIOS.
