    Hi y'all. :)
My husband recently got his computer back from a "repairman" & his computer is having a laundry list of troubles. One namely is that his drivers are missing for his ethernet controller. The only information I could find on it is that it is an ASUS VT8237R & he is using XP (he was running Vista before it was sent off to the "repairman").
I tried searching the forums for help, but everything I came up with wasn't helpful to us specifically.
    Thank you very much!

    Hi

Have to say the repair man didnt do a great job as should really have given you a fully working PC back and with Vista still on it, but thats another topic I guess.

If your PC is one from the likes of DELL, HP, Sony, etc what is the Make and model varient as this will assist us in getting correct drivers?

Likelyhood is the Chipset driver is also missing, so do attach the log above as instructed and we will try to help you fix this.

It was built. It's not a factory made PC.
We're going to do the everest & I'll reply back.
    Thank you!

    Hi

Try this and do also let me know what in Device Manager has a yellow ! mark next to it after installing the below.

4 in 1 drivers (these are the chipset) HERE (unzip and run the setup file) then reboot.

Then install the LAN driver from HERE (again unzip and open the Windows folder and run setup)

The full list of your drivers for your ASUS A8V Deleuxe motherboard are HERE just enter in the box that pops up Windows XP from the list.

    Hi

Next to install are and as you are using Windows XP Sp2 then you will need to install the UAA driver before the Audio one, UAA driver is HERE

then install the Audio driver from HERE and reboot.

then install the Video driver from HERE (going off the hardware ID as no graphic card name is mentioned it seems to link to an ATi X1300 AGP) and then the SATA/RAID driver from HERE.

*do note many of these downloads are zip files, so unzip first before installing.
