I have a new computer, but the old router (evidently installed while I was away) is giving me some grief right now. For a month or so, It was working fine. The modem was connecting to the internet just fine, and my router was providing internet to the network as it should. Now, though, when I have the chords connected CORRECTLY (yes, I checked) my modem won't get ethernet. I says that it's on (duh), and that it has DSL and internet, but not ethernet. I currently have the modem plugged directly into the computer so that I can ask how to fix the problem.

My router is a D-Link WBR-1310. Whenever I try to use the disk to re-install, It only asks if I want to replace the existing router, or add a router to the existing router. Any suggestions for what to do next?

The part you left out, is who is your provider.
