Etrust Antivirus 2005

I downloaded it from the MS partner pack, but I'm disappointed.

I tried to install it twice and while all seems ok, when I go to open the main interface from start, or from the notification area, I get an error:


Vet32.exe
This application has failed to initialize
(0x00000135)


I made sure no other AV was installed and this is a new installation of Windows.

Tried a cleanboot and ran into the same problem.

Couldn't find anything across Google or MSKB.

Any ideas? I really wanted a years subscription for free

 

are you running it on a server OS?

Nopers.

It says all of the protection is on, I just can't open the main application to scan or anything else.

It even updates fine.

I had .net framework 1.0 installed, but not 1.1.

 

WHA!!! oh Adryn.. hang your head in shame..

 

Eh...yeah.

Thats why I didn't want to mention it

 

it's ok man.. EZ could have easily detected that you weren't running 1.1.. but that would have taken them 1 minute to long to check the framework version and pop up a box saying so.
