Greeting's all, I don't mean to create an account and immediately cry for help here, but I'm in a bit of a bind and it's simply been driving me mad for weeks now that I can't troubleshoot this on my own.

A few months ago I built up a new system and decided to take the plunge with XP x64, since then everything has been fine until the last two weeks. Basically I've been having difficulty with my internet connection to this PC. I just can't establish any TCP/IP connections unless I'm slamming on that Go button and get lucky, downloading files are still just as fast as ever (I use Verizon FIOS), but just getting to pages and clicking those downloads is near impossible at times.

I cleared out my Event logs since they still were flooded with the early errors of when I was building and only a couple remained, the one that stood out the most is this Event ID 4226 (TCP/IP has reached the security limit imposed on the number of concurrent TCP connect attempts.) It still pops up, often. I do use uTorrent quite often, and some other underlying programs that use outgoing TCP/IP connections... quite often. This was never a problem until a couple weeks ago.

I've seen many many many sites and help FAQs linking to a patcher hosted on http://lvllord.de, well, I've tried it and it bombs out; this patcher hasn't been updated in over a year. Guides that say what to modify in a hex editor only show early versions of it and for the 32-bit edition of XP, and I'm afraid that the 64-bit looks different in size and code. So to put it bluntly, I'm at an impasse, I can not find any solution that's working on an up-to-date XP x64 unless it's buried so deep I would have to know the exact address on where to find it.

Virus/Spyware free, Ran a full system scan with Fully Up-to-date NOD32 2.7 just minutes ago that turned up nothing, if anybody knows any alternatives to that lvllord.de patcher or what to edit in hex or registry I would be very appreciative. Thanks for your time.
