Event Viewer errors in real time?

Is there any program that will popup Event Viewer errors in real time?

It is not much use finding the errors days/weeks/months later when you remember to check out the Event Viewer logs. :cry

If the program would only report errors that would be good.:cool

When was the last time you checked out your Event Viewer logs?

Go to Start-->Run and type in eventvwr.msc and <enter>

Open up all the tabs on the left hand side, one-by-one. The results and amount of info may surprise you (and how far they go back in time).

You can clear all enties by right clicking on those tabs and selecting Clear all Events.

You have the option of saving the log/s, or deleting them. Most can be deleted IMO. Bazza

 

I should have mentioned that this is for XP Pro. I don't know how to access Event Viewer on Vista, for example. It might be the same. Bazza

 

Having event viewer buried is a good thing. People usually panic when they see all the error. warning, and information logs.

Most mean nothing to the user.
