i was just testing which program is better but when i loaded WoW, my cpu's heat started to jump around

    idle - 40ish
loading wow 40-60 it jumps a lot

what seems to be the problem, or is there no problem at all and thats how it is?

For frequent temperature monitoring, I'd use SpeedFan. It will place in icon in your system tray that will give you temps anytime by hovering your mouse over it, or you can double-click on the icon to display the full panel.

Everest does provide info on system temps but it's purpose is to provide a very detailed report on your system. And, you would need to regenerate the report to get updated temp readings. SpeedFan, on the other hand, provides real-time monitoring.

I'm not a gamer but I understand games are very demanding programs, but that does seem like a very wide variation in temperatures. However, I'd like to see some comments about gamers on this.

What's your cooling configuration? How many fans? What's their orientation (intake or exhaust)? Is your computer dirty inside? Is it sitting where the case vents are not blocked by surrounding objects?
