Everything I do gets an error (win98)

After anything runs for about 10 seconds, I end up getting an Iexplorer has caused an error message. I have no idea whats going on, or how to fix it. I updated my computer but I doubt that it has anything to do with it. Any help would be very appreciated.

 

Try doing a repair of Internet Explorer.

In Windows 98, go to Add/Remove in Control Panel, select Internet Explorer, click Add/Remove then select repair.

If that doesn't work and you have your Windows 98 CD, then try System File Checker.

Go to Start, Run, and type in sfc.exe and follow the prompts.

Don't attempt this if your skill is limited.

 

Well, its not showing internet explorer in the add/remove, and its not showing anything to be bad in sfc, so what do I do? Do I just reformat or what?

 

No, format is overkill at this stage.

Did you ever try to remove Internet Explorer and what is your default browser?

If Internet Explorer is your browser, then install the latest one.
