Is there a way to do this?

I NEVER EVER EVER want to paste something into a spreadsheet using the custom color/bold/italic/hyperlink status/etc/etc/etc from the source.

Why this is the default is beyond me... it seems completely retarded.

Is there a way to make it so that pasting will ALWAYS match the destination formatting? I don't want to click a freaking "Match destination formatting" button thousands of times.
