Excel disply problems

    Can anyone tell me why my display resoultion changes from 1024 by 768 to 640 by 480 whenever I open my excel files. It only happens when opening excel files or just opening excel in general. Word, Powerpoint, etc. all open fine. I have to hit the (Fn) + F8 key on my laptop to bring the display back to normal. Also, when it does change resoultion it opens in a small window & all around the outside of the screen is black.

    have you checked for updated video drivers for your laptop?
