Microsoft Office 2000

When I have 2 excel workbooks open at the same time I cannot see both of them in the startup tray? at the bottom of the screen. I have to minimize one to get to the other. It was not always like this. Don't know what happened. I have expanded and contracted the startup tray but that doesn't work??? It's really aggravating Can anyone offer some advice?

Tools, options, View tab.. select "WINDOWS IN TASKBAR" checkbox.
