I am working in a excell spreadsheet and have 2 columns

In 1 column I have -£100.00, I need to make this number a positive
    number in column 2. 1 2
    -£100 = £100

How do I convert a negative to a positive number?

    Many thanks

    David

    Hi davidmarley,

if column A is formatted as currency, there is a worksheet function called ABS. Write to B2
    =ABS(A1)

    Regards

BTW This has nothing to do with "Programming".
