Hello, sorry about the mouthful of a title, but I crashed my wife's Toshiba laptop after uninstalling the touchpad. It was a fix for computers where you couldn't move the cursor for the mousepad right after pressing a key and it's worked before on other computers. Her computer got a bit messy and I was on my way to doing a system refresh. My wife took the computer to enter her password and just clicked "back" on everything, which brought her to a prompt saying "reboot or select proper boot device." I'm not exactly sure what else she did.

I went into BIOS to switch the boot mode to CSM, after which I started receiving a different error saying "exiting pxe rom reboot or select proper boot device." The error message is longer, but I'm somewhat afraid to exit BIOS to check. She has some tax information and some pictures on the laptop so I am attempting to rescue whatever I can.

Hi, Stranged. Falconattack links you to page 5 of that thread. There are other pages and, apparently, the issue was resolved.
