I've had great experience over the years with Newegg.com for online parts/system purchases. With this new computer build lurking on the horizon I figured I would do more exploration and see if I could find other sources to compare prices, etc. I even tried Dell, but I don't think thats the route I wish to take at the moment.

I found three new online vendors that seem to have outstanding prices. One of them even sells systems at Costco stores now. Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had experience with the following places, good or bad:

    CyberPowerPC
    ibuypower
    tigerdirect

I've used tigerdirect quite a bit and not had any problems. Great prices, great service. It came when they said and it did what they said. I've never tried to return anything though, so you might want to hear from others who have needed to do this.

I have a personal account at Tigerdirect, and I've also setup a corporate account for the company I work for.

Never had a problem with the corporate account, they always get our orders to us when they say, and they're always flexible on their prices, when there's not already rebates or discounts applied.

Had my first issue with my personal account recently. I placed an order, gave the guy my item numbers. When done, he told me the total, and made to hang up without asking for payment information.

I asked him to check on it, and he told me that he had my C/C details, and the order would ship with no problem. Told my customer that his parts would be in yesterday, as that was what I was told. Tuesday, I get an email that there's a problem with my C/C. UGH. Now, it was going to be later than I told my customer, so I asked them to expedite it somehow, and they asked for an extra $80. GRRR.

However, I'm feeling that I just got a stooopid CSR, so it may not mean much.

    No issues returning anything.

I've had experience with Cyber Power and Newegg, I personally like Newegg better, but the online computer builder on Cyber Power is excellent.

I also have used TigerDirect, the rebate thing I don't like, but no problems with them. Have not used the other ones. Geeks.com, TigerD, and NewEgg are pretty much all I use.
