Explaining myself

It has come to my attention that some members here have recieved messages that I have threatened people in another board, and sent them abuse.

This is simply not so.

There is also conspiracy against me and the fact we have a private folding forum.

Again, there is nothing underhand going on here. I have sent no such messages, and the private DCing forum is purley for team discussion which we don't want to be publically available, and nothing more.

If you still feel you cannot trust me, then that is fine. I'm not forcing you to. I just want to make sure that nobody comes to any kind of judgement about me through the views and assumptions of others.

It seems to me that there has been a misunderstanding.
Things happen on the Net that are sometimes strange. I don't take stuff like this at face value.

Look, I just want to say this.
You are okay with me. You've always been very helpful to me in my trying to learn about computers, and so forth.
I look up to you, and, I think that cooler heads will prevail in the end.

Somebody may be playing tricks? But it won't work.

Team Major Geeks is poised to really "make some noise", and that's a good thing, man!

Whatever is going on (it doesn't matter), its not going to draw us down in the mud!

This is a Good Thing, Good Science, a Good Project, and Good People having fun together.

It will stay that way if its up to me.

You're okay, Gold! I don't participate right here right now, I don't take the "stats" too seriously. But, I know that this team is coming into its own now, and there will be some other project members who can take pride in being a part of it, even if it was sometime ago when they made their contributions.

Maybe those kids will even push Medical Science forward a step, who knows?

Of course, everyone's contributions are important. Allready results have been submitted publically in aid of cancer, which are to be peer viewed (a first for medical DCing!).

I don't mind that you're not participating here anymore, you've made a good contribution to the team and thats great, you won't be forgotten for that.

There certainly has been a misunderstanding, one which we can get over and continue contributing to the project overall

 

Hey goldfish..sorry to see message board drama is running rampant again....this he said she said garbage is laughable in some ways, in others not. Anyone that 'knows' you and took the time to actually think things through would know you are not one to make threats. The day that you make a threat is the day that I would be telling the God's honest truth when I tell people I'm 28, that's my story and I'm sticking to it! LOL

As for the private forum for planning strategies this is a VERY common thing in DC circles. When I was quite involved with folding before we had a private forum to discuss strategies but it was off site...not here at MG but it was MG approved. We finally went this route before because we were competing against a huge team for a top spot, they were coming here and then posting our strategies on their forum...half the fun of folding was the competition with other teams and all the planning that went into moving up in the ranks. There was nothing underhanded about having a strategy forum that is hidden from those not on the 'team'...do people really think that football teams and the like share their strategies or formations publicly? No, they don't! It would do what if they did?...it would not only spoil the FUN but would throw the sportsmanship and competition right out the window would it not?

What happened to crunching for a cause AND for fun? That's what DC'ing is all about. If someone's nose is bent because they now can't see MG's strategy so what! You have your team, we have ours..and please, feel free to get in on all the fun by having your own strategy forum. Enjoy it rather than acting like a bunch of poor sports and stirring up stuff that simply doesn't exist.

Now, can we get back to doing what we are here to do? Let's crunch and have FUN planning our strategies! WooHoo! Go Team MG!
