When I try to open Local Disk C, internet explorer opens and starts blinking. I have tried redown-loading it. Task manager can't even handle the prob. I have to turn off the computer using the button on the tower. Any ideas? :confused

Why not reset it. I take this simplest way to deal with this problem when it comes to me.

What do you mean by reset? Reboot? suggestions and advice must be clear. Are you saying that you too have the issue of internet explorer opening up when you double click your c drive? If not that's how it sounds due to the way you worded it.

@ Linda Lue ... What Operating system are you using? Let us know your specs.

Others will chip in for sure but may I ask, for how long has it been doing this for? Can you think of any changes you made just prior to it happening?

have you scanned for malware with your AS/AV apps?

Windows XP, Pentium 4. About a week. No I can't think of any thing new. Yes I ran a system scan for viruses, check disc and defraged.
