explorer.exe wont stay running

My Explorer.exe won keep running i downloaded a program on limewire ran it it said it was corrupt i deleted it then my taskbar disappears i look on task manager and explorer.exe wasnt there i re-ran it and it just disappeared again i cleaned up the viruses there may be 3 left that i cant scan long enough to get to because my computer freezes please help :cry

 

does limewire show up on the task manager.if it is you need to stop limewire and make sure its uninstalled then clean computer out and reboot. hope that works for u.

 

ok well i always end limewire its a habbit it slows down my computer but ill try uninstalling it i hope it works too thanks

I think you might be better off trying some stuff in Safe Mode (press F8 as it boots into Windows) but you might be even better off going to the Malware forum and following the instructions in the stickies. Then post if you still have problems and the guys there will check if you are truly clean.

And always remember, any time you use something like Limewire, you do run the risk of bringing in infected files - you may know what music that person says they have, but have they told you how clean their computer and files are??

Really good point i rarely use limewire this was the first time i used it in months and it was to try to nab a free copy of WindowBlinds so i didnt have to see the 30 day pop up every time i turn on my computer but didnt work out the best im usually good with not getting viruses but it happens thank you so much for your help

I dont want to sound like an *** but i would say you to stay away from limwire thats my experience with it

If you want rare and hard to find files then emule is your friend.

If your into speed and moderately computer savy and dont mind paying then usenet is your friend.

If your a n00b and you like thing without any hassle then torrent is your friend.

If your into music that is not top10 in the charts and hard to find movies then and you want a little more speed then emule for the sacrifice for lesser files then dc++ is your friend

And a little tip if your looking for things on rapidshare and likewise sites on google and want to find it without sorting out the spyware sites in the search results then search for the software in google images.
