Explorer folder windows keep opening?

When I'm on the Internet (regardless of browser), the same folder keeps popping open in two separate Explorer windows (not IE; Windows explorer). Any ideas on what could be causing this? The folder that keeps opening is C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

Additional possibly helpful info.:

• Vista 64
• Using Firefox 3.5.2 and Chrome
• Recently uninstalled Trend Micro Virus scan because it wouldn't update. Think it was happening before this uninstall.
• Currently using 30 day trial of Kaspersky Internet Security 2010
• Went through malware removal guide last night. Malware Bytes removed lame.dll and the following registry entry: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoActiveDesktopChanges (Hijack.DisplayProperties) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.
• Spybot removed a doubleclick.net cookie and a text file it said was Win32.Agent.yvr (C:\Windows\System32\ping.txt)
• The problem still occurs. Again, this only happens when I'm online.

I greatly appreciate any advice you can offer.

 

I see you haven't had much response to this. I'm not sure I can help, but maybe a few questions might get things rolling:

• Does it pop up after a certain time, eg, 5 minutes online?
• Does it pop up more than once in an online session?
• I don't suppose it happens each time you visit a certain site.
• Does it happen just when you click on a link, or can it happen while you have a page open, and suddenly it pops up?
• Is the folder that opens the last one you visited in WExplorer (seems unlikely, but one is clutching at straws a bit here)? What happens if you open another folder?
• What happens if you have WE open at another folder while you're online?
• I wonder if there's some Internet setting that is directing you to that folder instead of to where it should be.
