explorer getting slower

since yesterday I feel my explorer is slower.
I have a new computer and fast adsl and since yesterday I get problems.
sometimes it just says page not found and if I refresh or go back and forward it comes just fine.
other times its like its getting stuck for a moment and than shows the page.

Yesterday I didn't do anything special like installing or uninstalling.
Only thing is searching and surfing the net.

Hi, if you computer is getting slower (and you say you feel it is but it may not be) then it could be you have a virus or spyware on your machine.

Make sure you have the latest virus definitions and run the Anti Virus to see what that finds, also suggest you run Anti Spy software (Spybot Search & Destoy or one of the others available) and see what that gives you.

Remember if you are running XP to disable the System Restore when you delete anything you find as it may replace them if you dont

 

Thanks for the thought but I should have written that I have latest definisions of norton and add aware so I don't think thats the problem.
the problem started few days ago while surfing the net.
I have a new computer and it runs very fast.
only problem is felt with internet.
I tried disabling most add-ons and still.
My windows firewall is disabled and I don't have any other runnung.
