Explorer "My Documents" opens up on startup

    Every time I boot up, Explorer "My Documents" opens up on startup. I've tried startup manager and msconfig but don't see it in either to disable.

    Anybody seen this happen before? Know how to stop it from opening?

    Check Start/Programs/Startup. Do you have a shortcut there to My Documents? If so, delete it. When Windows boots, it automatically runs everything in the Startup folder.

    My Documents opens on bootup

    Da Chicken, thanks for the suggestion...but>>My Documents is not there..this is a tricky one I think!!

    The same thing would happen if Explorer.exe was opened ,, either from startup, or etc.

    Did you check win.ini? Maybe a boot scanner will help you figure out what is calling for explorer during boot up. this file is avaiable off this site:http://www.majorgeeks.com/download2229.html
