Extension cable

Hi all.
I'm after an extension cable for my laptop power supply.
It's an Acer Aspire.
What I want is a cable with a female socket that I can plug the jack of my laptop cable into then plug the extension into my laptop.
This way I can keep the high voltage part of the supply indoors if I want to use my laptop outside.
If you understand what I'm on about then well done

I've never seen such a thing - it might be easiest to make one up ?

I would imagine they do one (it's only like a headphone extension, just different m/f plugs). I just don't know what to put in my search.

is this the sort of thing you are after ?

(if this might be the one check carefully the dimensions of the plug/socket to verify that they will fit, or you may consider it cheap enough to warrant a punt. You may like also to bear in mind quality/safety considerations.)

That may be the one DQ.
Problem is it's from Hong Kong!
I'll see if I can find a uk based one.
