external hard drive recommendations??

I am considering an external hard drive for additional storage of digital images on my 80 gb 2.4 Pentium 4 desktop---

Does anyone have any favorites or know of recommended models??
I'm leaning towards 200-400 gb of storage--and I'd like at least USB 2.0 for interface and probably firewire as well---

I just purchased a External drive case from Newegg and stuffed it with a 20 gb hd. It handles all of my music, I've got 1000 songs, my gf has over 1000, still have close to 6 gigs left. I paid 18 bucks or so, and its been great so far
usb 2.0, no firewire, standard IDE. I wish it was built a little better, the endcaps are kind of flimsy. I don't know about 300 or 400 gb drives. I am still 25 gigs away from filling up my 60. and I download everything to that computer, games, video, porn.. all the best stuff.
If I ever fix my server, I'll have an 80 gb array, and I have no idea how I'm gonna fill that up. Some day I wan't to build a nasty PVR and then I'll have a 300 gb, or 400 gb drive, but not yet.

 

Also, does anyone know if I can store files on an external hard drive from more than one computer, like my laptop and my desktop??? Or is the external hard drive dedicated to just one computer??

 

I have used mine on 3 computers .

I have a 250gb i paid £85 ($140 approx) off of ebay they are usually on there buy it now with warrentys.

It is basicly removable storage like a usb flash drive.
