Hi there. I have a Windows based laptop with an external hard drive hooked up to it. I also have a Mac. When I plug in the hard drive to my Mac it's read only. Is there any way to allow the hard drive to be freely written on?

There are only two ways that I know of.

    1. Format the drive in FAT32... which only allows max partition sizes of 32GB I believe.

    2. There is a Mac app ( still Beta ) made by Google I believe, called MacFuse http://code.google.com/p/macfuse/which works for 10.4 and 10.5. You may want to read up on the specifics of it though.
