external HD

    I have 3 External HDs from old computers
    1 is a desktop and needs no power;it works
    via usb cord

    the other 2 worked fine, I plug them in the usb port,they are external drives

    then I replaced my computers HD(internal)

    now when I plug them in I am told the DRIVE NEEDS TO BE FORMATTED to work

    I didnt understand, how do I fix this?
