    Allo everyone.

Ok. I get the follow message "Device is not ready" when programs try to write to my external HDD.

When I say programs I mean programs. I can copy and paste files on without a problem. However, when MSN tries to save logs it shows that error, when I'm downloading on uTorrent it shows that message as well.

I've got plenty of space and the external is only a few months old and I haven't had problems with it, at all.

Is this just a drive you put into an enclosure? if so what type of enclosure? The reason I ask is that the model number you gave is for the HD itself. it doens't seem to relate to any external drives.

I didn't put it in the case myself but I bought it from a fairly trustworthy market who might have put it in the case themselves.
