Extortion virus from koeserg@gmail.com

Just a couple of hours ago the files in my working folder got new file extensions (.EnCiPhErEd) and a text file was stored in the same folder:

"HOW TO DECRYPT FILES.TXT

Attention! All your files are encrypted!
You are using unlicensed programms!
To restore your files and access them, send code Ukash or Paysafecard nominal value of EUR 50 to the e-mail Koeserg@gmail.com. During the day you receive the answer with the code.

You have 5 attempts to enter the code. If you exceed this of all data irretrievably spoiled. Be careful when you enter the code!"

I quickly shut down my file server, but am afraid the continous spreading on my local computer. Anyone have any idea what this is and how to solve it? :confused

I have now contacted the police regarding this extortion.

Regarding the fix, please be aware that the solution described in a separate thread, with the parameters -k 85, will not succeed for every case. Please be advised to follow the discussion in this forum:
