Hi folks, it has been awhile. Glad to be back. I have a problem that I have not been able to diagnose yet. I am running Windows XP. My Computer is showing that I have 4 DVD drives when I actually have 2. Both are IDE and one is LiteOn DVD Writer (RAM Drive) and the other is LITEOn DVD drive (No writer). I am now getting 2 extra DVD ROM drive letters. I check Disk Management and the phantom drives are listed as DVD ROMs. I checked Task manager for anything running that I might of installed. The BIOS Setup only shows that I have 2 drives. I used Daemon Tools for reading ISOs but I disabled it and still get these extra drives. I have AnyDVD isntalled, but cant see where that causes a problem. And it does pick up 4 DVD ROM drive letters. I uninstalled ColneCD but cant see how that would cause this. Any suggestions on where I should look? Thanks. :confused

Have you disabled or uninstalled Daemon tools? you will need to uninstall if this program has created extra virtual drives.

Also click start run and type msconfig in the box press enter under the startup menu untick any items from Daemon tools and restart.
