Extract audio from a .Dat video

    Hi, i'm looking for a software that allows me to extract audio from .dat video file (VCD) if possible to .mp3 ; i'm running Vista x86 too.

    I've used AoA AudioExtractor in the past and that seems to work OK. :)

    that programm crashes on some video, or give 0Kb mp3 files :(

    You can convert the .dat to mpeg using VCDGear (freeware) and then use VirtualDub (also freeware) to extract the audio from the mpeg. I don't have a step by step for you, but I know both these apps will do the job. A little bit of online research should help. Both apps have their own web sites with FAQ's and support and maybe forums too.

    thanks u DLB, i'm doin with that now, but Virtual Dub allow me to save only .wav files not .mp3, anyway i have to burn it to an audio CD
