I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right forum, or that the question actually has a good answer, but I'll appriciate any info since yahoo hasn't been too usefull..

Is there a way to extract 3d graphics (like monsters) from files such as those that computer games use? I know this is depandant on many factors but are there cases in which it can be done or is it most likely impossible? What could such a procedure require?

do you want the actual creature file, or just a picture of it?

somehow I dont think you will be able to unlock the code easily enough to get at the 3D model data for most games, I do know that Discreet have a free app that allows you to model characters or vehicles for certain games........
