extracting info off hard drive

    upon searching i didnt find what i need so can anyone help

    i have a laptop bunch of friends gave me hard drives out of a desktop
    i am looking for a universal docking station i guess u can call it to get info off for them.

    i do not know what kind they are but if anyone can point me in the right direction i would greatly appreciate it

    You could find a USB external hard drive enclosure.
    Slide the drive in, plug into a USB port and search away.

    You can buy an adapter like this http://www.cyberguys.com/product-details/?productid=13779
    you connect either an IDE (2.5", 3.5") or a SATA hd and then attach it to the USB port of your laptop to access the hd.
    I used one similar to this a few weeks ago to attach a hd to a new computer. I pulled all the data off the old hd and put it in a folder on the desktop of the new computer.
