I have a program for Windows XP and one of my original discs has gone bad. I wrote the company and they said I can get the disc for $39. Well the new version of the program is only $59. I have seen the new version and much prefer the version I have but like most people would rather not have to spend the $39 unless I absolutely must.

Is there a program that can extract software physically out of windows including the registry entries so I can format PC, re-install Windows and then reinsert program???

What is the program you are after? Have you tried car boot sales, mom and pop computer stores, garage sales, e-bay? Bazza

And how is the disc bad? Have you tried polishing it to remove scratches? Is it broken in two?
