    Hi,

I have searched the web and have not found an answer to my issue. I run Windows 2000 Professional and when I try to boot into safe mode it takes approximately 15-20 minutes before I get to the Windows password request box. Is this normal and if not what could the problem be.

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

    Best,

    Mitch

No. 15-20 minutes is far from normal. Win2000 (in my experience with it) is a bit slow to load, but not THAT slow. What about normal mode? How does that load up? For some reason, safe mode loads up slower than normal mode, on XP too. But it should never take more than a minute, maybe two at the ultimate most....

Is there a difference, time-wise between safe mode, safe mode with networking and safe mode with command prompt?
