Extremely Urgent Request

Does anyone here own a Viewsonic VA2012WB LCD monitor?


I'm in desperate need of a copy of a non corrupted EDID, so that I can use DVI on my monitor again.



This utility will allow you to back it up.

Hi. Sorry you are having this problem. From what I am seeing, ViewSonic is blaming EDID probs on the video card mfrs, or something like that. Leave it to the mfrs to try to orphan their customers, even during the warranty period It's dirty pool, the way I see it. Maybe people will start posting their EDIDs on eMule or something, or even better, images of bootable floppies/cds with the EDID info included.

 

I found a Dell fix that worked, believe it or not.

But yeah, its Viewsonic's fault for programming such a garbage EDID.
