F@H GPU app not working...

I tried reinstalling it, changing the various settings in the F@H configuration, and even changing the process priority in task manager.

What do I do?? I know that it's not running (even though the taskbar icon reports it as running) because the process isnt getting any CPU cycles ("system idle process" is, CPU remains at less than 10% being used even though F@H is running) and the temps on my GPU (according to speedfan) continue to be at 45C for my graphics card (which is normal idle temps, when its folding its usually around 50-55C).

    please help!

    Did you completely uninstall F@H?
If not, might check log files to see if there is any indication of a problem.
Also, check Event Viewer for any potential problems.

Are you sure it's not working? What does FahMon say? On my X2 w/GTX 260 and Windows 7 RC, task manager reports some %10 usage. Sounds normal to me man.

On my quad Intel my pair of 9800GTs hardly ever hits %5 together. Install the monitoring program, best way to see what's going on.:)

    BTW, which OS/client you running?

okay, so according to my profile at extreme overclocking, i guess i am submitting work units and my F@H is functioning, but its weird because it used to take up a whole CPU core and my graphics card used to heat up while folding but now i guess it stopped doing that...oh well

    thanks for the help anyways

Ya, the clients have gotten better, used to pin a whole core when I was on XP. I'm not really sure why your GPU isn't heating up though. :confused Are you getting normal points? Does the thing sound like an airport now?

Well, there's no way to know that unless we see the logs.

BTW an 8800GT should get around 5K PPD. http://www.nordichardware.com/forum/viewtopic.php?topic=11048&forum=47

Oh, there was a problem with the servers a couple of days ago. Plus if you EUE'd out three times, Stanford bans you for 24 hrs. Need to see the logs.

well, i actually use my GPU for other purposes such as gaming and video watching, so i pause F@H quite often.

overall, i usually get around 3k ppd.

and also, my 8800GT has a Accelero S1 with a non-variable fan attached to it, so it sounds the same all the time.

Well, lack of heat and low PPD says problem. Which OS/client you running? GPU2? Last time I ask.
