Hello Piccolo, welcome to Major Geeks

Well your title referring to F1 sounds like a hardware problem, but service packs are software.
So what exactly is your difficulty and your system?

Did you set the new HDD as HDD1? If so, that could mess it up.

First lets get the pc back to running order without your new hard drive addition.

Then perhaps we can help install the new drive correctly.

You don't need to physically remove the new drive, just disconnect any cables you have connected and put them back to where they were.

You will not need the Dell Drivers CD at all.
Do you also have the Dell recovery Cd labelled 'Operating System'?

Can you tell us the Dell model (no)?

Can you also tell us the new drive make/model number?

You do not need to send me any messages, unless they are truly private, the idea of this forum is to allow all to see the fix and benefit thereby.

OK we are hopefully getting somewhere.

Extracted from the Dell specs for the GX100
I presume you have the mini tower as this is the only one that allows a second hard drive to be added?

When you make changes to the system, like adding a drive you need to enter setup to change the data held in the 'BIOS' about the system. This happens before windows loads and is the lowest level of the system control.

You enter the setup by repeatedly tapping F2 as the Dell logo appears.
In setup scrolldown to the bit about hard drives and follow the instructions at the bar at the bottom of the screen.
    save changes and exit.

Look at this thread it has screen shots of a dell doing this.

    the system reboots.
    Does it now load windows?
    If not
Did it load windows before you started adding drives?
Are you sure you have put the cables back as they were?
did you change any jumpers on the original drive?
