The Washington Post has the right idea, but what are you thinking with the Michael Moore link? He has effectively dehumanized these brave people and made them into literal ciphers to promote his agenda. Did you miss the irony of including this, considering your stated intent?

 

My intent was not to dehumanize anything, and i don't think Michael Moore did either. The Washington post link was to put faces on all the figures in the Moore link. Seeing all the black figures all lined up like that really awed me to how many we have lost. The Washington Post allowed me to get more personal with those thousands of soldiers.

I think you guys need to get back on subject. I really don't think it matters what site it is on or not. If it was on another site you wouldn't have said anything. just let it go.

 

I respect your opinion but could you please from now on post in a more respectable way. Bashing and name calling are not necessary.

IMO Moore is a great person. He is not afraid to pursue the truth, and question anything! That is a rare quality in Americans today. I personally like the guy.

Thanks Neo. My purpose here was to show something more then just a number. When you can look at each individual symbol on that chart it has a more dramatic effect then just a number. When you can put faces on each of those symbols. That is when it should hit us the most. As the war goes on the media just continues with their 'war updates' and add a couple more soldiers to their total. It is getting rarer and rarer now that you see stories on the individual person or persons that where killed.
