Factory reset

    Can any one advise how I carry out a factory reset on my Acer Aspire Laptop. I upgraded from Windows7 to Windows 8' and now I have further upgraded to Windows 8.1. I have tried using windows refresh but was unsuccessful. A message was returned, stating files were missing and to load installation disks.
