failed to initialize 0xc0000005 on EVERY PROGRAM!

well.. nearly every program gives a "failed to initialize 0xc0000005" error... adaware, spybot, point32.exe, IE (bit it pops up as dwwin.exe failed to init..)... i cant do a damn thing...?! i just got done cleaning off some viruses and spyware files and registry keys
apparently this just started today as well (this isn't my computer)
this also accompanied the "wp.exe" virus that altered the background to display the fake error message as a background image... this computer was loaded with badness that i think i got rid of, now i just have to get programs running again... even services wont run!

 

Can you see if any of these apps run in Safe Mode?

 

I forgot to add that part... they dont run in safe mode either

 

I KIND of solved the problem.. but made a new one...
norton popped up showing the wininet.dll file as infected with some bloodhound virus.. and i quarentined it, because it couldn't repair it... well then i couldn't run the programs because the file "didnt exist" now.. so i downloaded on my computer and sent it on to the fooked up one... I can finally run the programs, but NOW it's giving me a damn "system shutdown" something about unexpected remote procedure call from NT AUTHORITY/SECURITY.. shutting down in 55 sec.
and this is an entirely ligit version of XP on this laptop, if that would even be an issue for that error
i have no idea where that came from.. grrrrr

 

Sounds like the Blaster Worm or one of it's many variants.

Always make sure you have at least all critical Windows updates installed and have basic security in place to prevent infection.
